What was your favorite Nintendo game?

And I mean old school Nintendo, none of this newfangled stuff. The good old days of Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, Kung Fu (complete with the cheesy music), Paperboy, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, and oh yes, Zelda. And the ORIGINAL Final Fantasy. Just to name a few. Those are a few of mine, what did you rot your brains to?

What was your favorite Nintendo game?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, one of the best games EVER period
Reply:ocarina of time isn't even a nintendo game - that's on N64 Report It

Reply:Super Mario Brothers of course! hehe
Reply:I like Metroid, One of the hardest games invented
Reply:super mario bros. 1 and 3 (not too crazy about 2)
Reply:Mario Bros.
Reply:Super Mario 3 and Paperboy
Reply:POKEMON b i t c h!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:i love all the Marios.
Reply:Mike tysons punch out, hands down! It ranks as one of my favorite games of all time as well! I also liked the japaneese fire emblems, Super mario bros, Metroid, earthbound, Final Fantasy 6 (3), Breath of fire, Chrono trigger, Legend of zelda 1 and 2, and more!
Reply:I'd have to go with Tecmo %26amp; Super Tecmo Bowl for Nintendo. It's almost impossible to score 70 points in a game in Tecmo Bowl but I accomplished this feat(I call it the magical 70). Just a fun game!!!!
Reply:RockMan!![Megaman] I loved *and still love* the Mega Man games on Nintendo
Reply:NES: Super Mario Bros

SNES: Super Mario RPG

GB: Super Mario and the 7 stars

N64: Super Mario 64 (favorite game ever)

GBA: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

GCN: Resident Evil 4

DS: Super Mario 64 DS

almost every nintendo sistem for ya =P
Reply:I knkew someone was going to get me started on this.. i love them all, but some favs were mega man 1 and 2, al the marios, i loved contra and life force, guantlet, seicross, mach rider, ... and cant forget the metal gears, real old school there!! vindacators was hard but fun, master blaster!! was awesome!! i didnt know untill a few years ago that with the second control you can control the ducks on duck hunt.. hehe that game was soo much fun!! cant forget toobin!! throwing cans and floating was great, i remember staying up all night with my uncle to beat that game!

I beat final fantasy and had to get the one one ps, but that wasnt as good, so a few months ago i had to get out my nintendo and play it again, got far untill i rented the new gta liberty city stories hehe

kung fu was the greatest, cheesy music, going into a japanese looking hut to rescue silvia, an american looking girl.. hehe

cant forget river city ransom either, that was my fav game for awhile cuz you had to fight for money to buy food and stuff, it was great, even found a secret shop in a tunnel... lots of great moments there..

metroid was good too, the only good one, old school and impossable to beat, lol, like mario 3, i never truly "beat" it, i found a door in the last castle near the beggining that i could go halfway through and on the other side i would be halfway through a wall, then i hold right and go through a wall to the end fight, hehe, i know im bad, but you had to cheat when it came to reg nintendo, was like old school, anything goes! lol

too many to list, lol, I could go on for hours and hours on this, but i wont, i think they were all good
Reply:Tetris; Mario 1, 2 and 3; Blades of Steel; Ninja Turtles; Dragon Warrior
Reply:Super Smash Bros. and Super Monkey Ball are one of the best party games I ever played.

If you're talking solo games, I would choose Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker. It's a fun stragety game. Quite puzzling.
Reply:My faviorate game beside Kung Fu, Super Mario Bros., and Zelda is Nightshade...

because it's a unique mystery and fighting game and it funny too.
Reply:contra

bubble bobble

nemo: dream master

dragon warrior IV

final fantasy

---------------------------------

how come some people listed things that aren't on the old nes? like zelda:windwaker, pokemon, chrono trigger (among other snes greats)

didn't they read the question?
Reply:super mario doctor original
Reply:My all time favorite game was Arcinoid (kind of like a supped up version of pong). I was thanking my lucky stars when Game Genie came out and I was actually able to beat it. Mario games were always a classic, he was the ultimate plat former. My friends and I loved Contra, who could forget the fist fights we would get into over who would get the spray gun. You could always count on Excite Bike to give you hours of enjoyment by making a nearly endless course of jump ramps and see how many times you could bounce the screen. Tetris is still addictive, again more fists fights trying to get the other person to mess up during duel play. I loved Mega Man for all of the lvls and all of the cool bosses. I never realized how hard this game was til I bought the anniversary edition and tried playing it again. And of course there is the timeless Zelda. Link and his little sword of fury, the song you can never get out of your head, and the puzzles. *Starts reminiscing.....*
Reply:Man all these people are talking up the new Zelda's without paying homage to the ones that brought us all that. You say Zelda and I'm all over it! I love zelda games, they rock hardcore!! But how can anyone forget the very first two? Zelda and Zelda2 (Named Link). They are the best ones still.. They were for Nintendo.

Not Nintendo 64 or any of that jazz but the real old one. The one that was a box you opened a lid to, stuck the game in and pressed gently down. Never did beat ethier though.. my brother kept erasing them.. but I plan to get an emulatior soon and get back in the game to kick the big bad pig, Gannon!
Reply:Moonwalker or sumthing like that with m.jackson in white beatin up ninjas. And SUPER Mario Bros.
Reply:Yoshi's island and supermario all stars and kirbys dreamcourse
